Connections to Pacific Wave
These Ethernet connection options are available at all Pacific Wave nodes:
- 10 Gigabit Ethernet
- 1 Gigabit Ethernet
- Fast Ethernet
The Pacific Wave International Peering Exchange facilities use Cisco 6509 switches, housed in secure, non-public, environmentally-controlled facilities with state of the art cable management systems, HVAC, fire suppression systems, access-control, and battery power backups.
Flexible with Diverse Opportunities
While all Pacific Wave partners will peer with the Pacific Northwest Gigapop
and CENIC, all other peerings are made by mutual agreement between those groups
that are interested in peering with each other.
- Pacific Wave is an ATM-free zone.
- Any IP traffic accepted
- Multicast enabled with PIM-SM snooping.
- Self-selected peerings—you peer with whom you want.
- Self-configured peerings—you control your BGP peering routes.
- No AUP.
- Support available 24 x 7 x 365.
